Creative Care Management’s team of professionals explores existing and emerging trends that are affecting people and their work environment.  Several issues appear to create the majority of trends such as global competitiveness, rising healthcare costs, retiring baby boomers to name a few, thus leading to a greater demand for work/life balance.

Consider the following statistics and the impact they could have on your workforce:

Absenteeism

·         A study shows that when EAP services are provided work loss was avoided in 60% of cases with an average savings of 17 hours per case.  72% of these cases showed improved work productivity.  [Atrige, M (2001, August)]

We can identify the "real" problem that leads to the best referral for the employee through Creative Care's comprehensive assessment process, thus reducing absences and improving productivity.

Mental Health

·         Depression and anxiety disorders – the two most common mental illnesses – each affect 19 million American adults annually (National Institute of Mental Health, 1999)

·         The estimated economic burden of depression was $43.7 billion: $31.3 billion for indirect costs such as decreased productivity and lost work days, and $12.4 billion in direct costs such as medication and physician time (NMHA, 2000)

·         The process of defining the problem and formulating an assessment is continuous during the face to face visit with the client.

Creative Care's licensed clinicians consider the verbal and nonverbal
communication to help develop the best
assessment and treatment plan for the client.

Substance Abuse

·        40% of industrial fatalities and 47% of industrial injuries are linked to alcohol consumption and alcoholism.

·        Research on substance abuse prevention has led to the development of effective training programs including stress reduction, work/life balance, and communication strategies in the workplace.

·        Creative Care's training programs can help to enhance the work environment by reaching out to workers and0% of industrial fatalities and encouraging them to seek help.
